GE Hybrid GeoSpring Water Heater:

Operating a GE hybrid water heater instead of a standard 50-gallon electric model could help a U.S. household reduce water heating operating costs by approximately 62%, saving up to $320 annually based on an electricity cost of 10.65 cents per kWh.  Puerto Rico’s electricity cost is around 19 cents per kWh; as a result the savings could double.

  • GE Hybrid GeoSpring Water Heater technology is designed to absorb heat in ambient air and transfer it into the water. Since it requires much less energy to absorb and transfer heat than it does to generate it – as a standard electric water heater would – the GE Hybrid GeoSpring Water Heater provides the same amount of hot water while using about half the energy of that a standard electric water heater would.
